General Assembly debates diverse work of Ministry Coordination Committee including LGBTQIA+ Advocacy and format for GA226

Commissioners affirmed a wide swath of resolutions from the Ministry Coordination Committee on LGBTQIA+ issues, gender-inclusive language and diverse families. They concluded with a proposal for a hybrid 226th General Assembly.

Louisville, Kentucky — On Friday, July 8, following the evening meal break, the General Assembly continued its work in Plenary 14 starting at 8:30pm EDT.

After finishing discussion and voting on recommendation two of FIN-10, the Assembly heard the remainder of the report from the Committee on Financial Resources, where they named particular items that were passed on the consent agenda including the mission work plan for the Presbyterian...
