A litany for Disability Inclusion Sunday
Disability Inclusion Sunday is on September 10, 2023. Churches across the country will be celebrating the gifts that people with disabilities bring to our congregations.
Hunter Steinitz is an ordained ruling elder in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), a candidate in the ordination process and a recent graduate from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. Hunter feels that her call to ministry is to bridge the gap between those who don’t live with difference and those who live with it every day so that the full beauty of diverse creation can be embraced.

Hunter Steinitz offers a prayer for the Thanksgiving table that remembers our history as Americans and calls on God as the giver of life, justice and peace.
“True accessibility means meeting people with disabilities where we are — not trying to change us, but making room so that we can be wholly ourselves as God created us to be,” writes Hunter Steinitz.
