More details released about General Assembly 2024’s hybrid format

In their Oct. 20 meeting, the Committee on the Office of the General Assembly discussed plans for the next General Assembly as well as survey results from this year’s commissioners and delegates.

The Committee on the Office of the General Assembly (COGA) has approved a format for the 2024 General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) — firming up a hybrid format for the next assembly, but not yet the exact dates.

The plan COGA approved in its Oct. 20 Zoom meeting outlines this approach:

  • The assembly would begin with a brief, online plenary (about an hour in length), to deal with any necessary standing rules...
