The Bible says that humans are created in the image of God, reflecting God’s character and loving the world the way God wants the world to be loved. If our perception of God is small, exclusive and stingy, we will reflect a small, exclusive and stingy God. If our concept of God is big, expansive and generous, we will reflect God’s expansive hospitality. Which God do you see in your mirror?

Session 2: Reflecting God’s Dominion
Session 3: Reflecting God’s Rest
Session 4: Reflecting God’s Grace
Each Fresh Outlook Bible Study includes four sessions. Each session offers the facilitators:
- Tips for preparation
- A supply list
- Suggestions for opening and closing prayers
- An introduction to the topic at hand and how Christians have understood it
- Opportunities to “try on” aspects of the topic
- Key takeaways
- Suggestions for inviting participants as co-leaders

More Fresh Outlook
Did you know that Fresh Outlook Bible Studies is a limited series from the Outlook? Our previous bundle, released in June 2023, explored the topics of badass women in the Bible, the devil, and spiritual practices.
We plan to release another bundle in June 2024. Developed from real questions asked by young adults, such as campus ministry groups, young adult groups, and high school youth, we hope this offering makes planning for high school, college, and young adult ministries easy and fruitful.
About the author
Catherine Knott serves as the Ball Family Chaplain of Hanover College in southern Indiana and teaches courses in Hanover’s English department. She is ordained in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and serves in the Presbytery of Ohio Valley. She lives with her husband Jason and three yappy terriers and loves to sing Mozart and hike.
